A Short Report

Hi everyone!

Given the beauty God gave us throughout Emma’s infusion day yesterday, and with the overwhelming assurance that this community was interceding on our behalf, I just have to drop this brief follow-up to say thank you SO much. Your prayers were powerful and effective in many ways, but most notably:

• I slept more soundly before infusion day than I ever have before.

• Emma enjoyed a snooze and a very happy drive to Atlanta with me and my parents (Nan and Pa).

• We spent the day with our favorite nurse and had a visit from our favorite technician.

• Emma was a CHAMP through an abnormally difficult access.

• She cooperated as I kept changing up her positions so her tense muscles wouldn’t cramp as badly as last time.

• She felt like painting for almost an hour during infusion!

• She rode home peacefully.

• And despite running a fever until bedtime, she slept well, woke fever-free, and has had a blast playing with friends and family today. The day after infusion is becoming one of our most favorite days of the week.

Praise be to God who hears our prayers and does things when we pray that He does not do when we do not pray! Thank you for every reply to this email, every text or call, every spontaneous gift, and every heart-prayer as the Spirit brings us to mind. We are so surrounded.

PS - Next time (5/8) would you pray for hydration? Baby girl is not enjoying food or drink once her infusion begins until she wakes the next day. 🙏🏻
